Prestigecuvée fra Østrigs svar på Yquèm. Vinen har en rig mørkegylden farve, en indtagende bouquet med antydning af røgede krydderier, aprikos og honning. Smagen bugner af supermodne gule, eksotiske frugter med strejf af æble og mineraler. Perfekt harmoni mellem frugtsyre og sødme.

Enormous aromas of dried yellow and tropical fruit with great citrusy freshness that pulls you into the center of this dessert-wine quasar. So concentrated, but the brain- rattling acidity seems to connect directly to the nervous system, and from there to the pleasure centers of the brain. Breathtakingly fresh, super long finish. Almost too much of a good thing now. Better from 2020.

RS 270 g/l, TA 7.4 g/l. Bright gold. Much less nose than the numbers 7 and 8. Very good acidity and a suggestion of elderflowers but quite tight on the finish. I'd age this a bit longer. Lots of both sweetness and acidity. Fresh but not yet resolved. Blossomy. 9.5% Drink 2019-2024.

The 2015 Trockenbeerenauslese No 9 Welschriesling Zwischen den Seen checks in at 9.5% alcohol and a whopping 270 grams of residual sugar. It offers a powerful, unctuous style to go with classic notes of caramelized apricots, honey, mints, and lychee nut. Deep, full-bodied, and concentrated, with bright acidity, it's a sensational effort that's going to keep for decades.

Like the No 2, the 2015 Trockenbeerenauslese No 9 Welschriesling Zwischen den Seen is pretty closed at the beginning. Aged for 18 months in stainless steel, this has a concentrated, dense and very aromatic bouquet with perfectly ripe juice aromas. Sweet, piquant and fresh on the palate, this is a serious, firmly structured yet elegant Welschriesling with good tannin structure and an intensely aromatic finish. This is still very young and tight at the moment and will benefit from further bottle aging. Great aging potential. 9.5% alcohol and 270 grams of residual sugar. 2023 - 2055.

Purest, headiest notes of botrytis rise from the glass with all their honeyed intensity, while notes of ripe apricot and caramelized apple play in the background. The palate comes in with concentration and bundled, energetic sweetness, which carries notions of candied apricot and Mirabelle plum in its wake. This is cut by sharp, zesty and equally concentrated acidity. These united elements give an elixir-like density and liveliness to this viscous, golden liquid. Drink until 2040, at least.

The 2015 Welschriesling TBA (Nummer 9) is laced with apricot glaze, baked apple tart, spice and orange confit. Even with all of its intensity and sugar, the 2015 remains translucent and remarkably light on its feet, with bright acids that keep everything in balance. The 2015 is simply stunning.
