2010 Brunello di Montalcino Montosoli Altesino Magnum

The 2010 single vineyard Brunello di Montalcino from the Montosoli cru is an absolutely compelling wine from Altesino. As this slowly unwinds it releases attractive aromas of sweet red berries, blackberries and plums which are layered with exotic spices, citrus peel, sage, fresh floral and wet stones. This elegant and pure Brunello impresses with its outstanding balance and finesse as well its fine silky tannins that are beautifully integrated into the velvety texture. Everything comes together gracefully on the long velvety finish. While the Montosli is certainly very appealing, even at this early stage, however it is ultimately an age worthy wine that will benefit from further bottle age. (Best 2017- 2034).

Beautiful aromas of dark fruits and minerals. Full-bodied, succulent and chewy. It's tight and stony. Lots of black olives and wet earth under the fruit. Bright and linear wine with beautiful layers. Better in 2018.

Sangiovese sings loud with small berry nuances and loud floral impressions of rose, violet and lavender. Its underlying complexity is further enhanced by anise seed, cola and licorice stick. The wine's texture is soothing soft and silky. This is one for your cellars to age ten years or more.
