2020 Puligny-Montrachet 1. Cru Les Perrieres Henri Boillot Magnum

Mid yellow, not so much happening on the nose here, but very attractively balanced on the palate, with the lightest positive reduction, a strong mineral thread through the middle, this is seemingly understated but actually very fine. Precise and with considerable tensile strength to make a wine for the long term.

A cool, pure and airy nose features notes of wet stone, essence of apple, white flower and spiced apple. The highly energetic and beautifully textured middle weight flavors brim with both minerality and sappy dry extract, all wrapped in a moderately austere, chiseled and linear finish that is borderline strict. This beauty is so tightly wound that I would strongly advise to not even touch a bottle for at least 5 years.
