Le Difese is crafted from the estate’s younger vines and offers an approachable glimpse into the style of Tenuta San Guido. The 2024 opens with lively aromas of raspberry and red berry fruit, complemented by fresh floral notes, hints of vanilla, stony minerality, spice, and a touch of dried tobacco. Medium-bodied on the palate, it shows a silky texture supported by fine, well-integrated tannins. The finish is clean and bright, highlighted by lingering fresh berry flavors. While a little more time in bottle will allow it to gain additional depth, it already provides an appealing and accessible introduction to the wines of the estate.
