The 2023 Riesling Deidesheimer Langenmorgen G.C. comes from Triassic sandstone, which is a cooler, east-facing site. This is the first barrel sample in the line-up that is still really cloudy, yet it also shines with more citric verve than the others. The palate is smoother than the nose suggests but with a gentle vibe, almost like a caress. It is soothing and gentle yet undeniably stony with incredible citrus depth. It is one of the stars of the show. This has immense appeal. (Bone-dry)

The 2023 Langenmorgen G.C. is precise and clear on the dense and complex, slightly flinty nose that shows ripe peach and peach skin as well as saline aromas. Full-bodied, rich and elegant on the palate, this is a pretty fine and silky-textured Riesling with crystalline acidity and an intense, complex minerality on the long and finely tannic finish.
