The 2023 Gaisböhl G.C. opens with a deep, clear, fresh and almost earthy nose with wet clay and stone aromas. Full-bodied, round and savory on the palate, this is a generous, precise, saline and crunchy, finely tannic and powerful Riesling with a long, intense and forceful yet still refined and elegant finish. Impressive wine. 12.5% stated alcohol. Diam 30 cork.

95P+: Almond blossom, apple, apple peel, white peach, light sesame, spice, lime peel, stony notes on the nose. Compact structure on the palate, supported by ripe phenolics, mineral tension from the start, dense extract, mineral base.

The 2022 Riesling Ruppertsberger Gaisböhl Monopol G.C. hails from a site where weathered Triassic sandstone blends with clay-rich soils. Even the nose presents the lemon-laced peachiness that is the primary aromatic feature of the palate. The smooth, gentle, serene expansion is totally lemon-colored, citric, friendly and bright.
