The 2021 Barolo Ginestra Vigna del Gris captures a more delicate, sensual side of Ginestra. Deep and pliant in the glass, it offers gorgeous mid-palate pliancy and fine overall depth. The 2021 is a seriously impressive Barolo of substance and presence. The balance of fruit, acid and textural resonance makes it incredibly appealing in the early going.

Pouring a deeper ruby red, the 2021 Barolo Ginestra Vigna Del Gris offers a seductive and somewhat more introspective bouquet, with aromas of black cherries, crushed flowers, fresh tobacco, and cedar. It’s firmly structured, well-balanced, and medium to full-bodied, with rich tannins and a savory note of tea leaf through the finish. It’s more muscular and fleshy and should have no problem improving further over the coming 15-20 years.
